From basic concept to the completion of the design, our in-house CAD expert is with you every step of the way.  We use an advanced computer aided drafting system called Softplan. Softplan is an object-oriented program, which designs a structure not by lines on a computer screen, but by materials used in the construction of the home, so by drawing a wall in the program, the computer recognizes that the wall has studs, nails, drywall and so on.  This enables much more accurate measurements and faster turn-around times than any other design software program used by other companies, such as AutoCAD.  At Lockwood Design, we stand by our work, and ensure the overall quality every CAD design we produce.  We have a great reputation with the local building code authority in our area, and since drawings are accurate, and produced in a timely manner, we have a great reputation with our clients as well.  Stop by or give us a call to find out what we can design for you!

We can provide three-dimensional virtual reality floor plans....a remarkable step in design technology!  Once a home is drawn on the computer, we can take you through a virtual 3-D walkthrough, so you will know exactly what each room should look like.  It's a welcome advancement over other design firm software.
